The following answers questions commonly asked to sales
and support staff. Some of the questions are geared for those that are
new to selling cabinets, and some are designed to point out Euro-Rite’s
unique features.
Q: How is the product packaged?
A: ER products are packaged unassembled in a
box. Unused space in the box is filled with Styrofoam to prevent
shifting.
Q: Are the door, drawers, cabinet, and hardware
packaged in the same box?
A::ER cabinets require multiple packs to make
the finished product.
Unique to ER is what is inside of each package. The case of
the cabinet, meaning the side gables, fixed shelves, spreader and
mounting rails and the hardware necessary to assemble the case, are
packaged in one box.
What is missing from the listing of what’s in the box/case
package is the backboard. ER does not package the backboard in the case
pack because ER uses a one piece backboard. A one piece backboard
allows for a sturdy cabinet.
The backboard in packaged in the door/drawer pack. Hinges,
drawer boxes, and drawer glides are in the door/drawer pack as well.
Q: Your code for the base is UB, why is that?
A: UB stands for Universal Base. ER cabinets
drilling pattern allows for hinge plates and drawer glides to be used
on all UB’s. This means a 15” full height door unit requires the same
case for a 15” drawer bank and a 15”door/drawer unit.
Q: All your cabinet cases are finished in white
melamine. What do I have to order to change the finish of the cabinet
so it matches the door/drawer fronts?
A: ER requires a replacement gable(s) to be
assembled to the cabinet in place of the gable(s) packaged in the box.
The replacement gable is finished with a melamine that matches the
color of the door style selected.
Q: What are the height and widths available for wall
cabinets?
A: ER has selected width for 12”, 15”, 18” and
36" high wall cabinets. The 24”, 30” and 42” high wall cabinets
are available in width from 9” to 36” in increments of 3”.
Q: Do mullion and open frame doors come with glass?
A: No there are too many types of glass to
choose from. Smoked, clear, etched, fluted etc..
Q: Can you explain your non-standard corner bases?
A: This is a great feature for situations
where 3” or 6” needs to be added to fill in a space or where 3” needs
to be deducted to allow for a wider cabinet.
The non-standard base corner requires three pieces, CB33 or
CB36, door pack, and the (CBE) corner base extension kit.
The top and bottom fixed shelves and the adjustable shelf are
a combination of two pieces, They are fixed together with the cam locks
and wood dowels.
The smaller of the two pieces will be discarded and the
extension pieces are to be assembled in place. The extended side can be
either on the left or right side of the corner cabinet just by flipping
over the two fixed shelves and the adjustable shelves.
The doors are attached together with the hinges. The smaller
of the two doors will be hinged to the cabinet box. The doors can be
either left hinged or right hinged by flipping over the doors.
Q: Can you explain your blind corner cabinets?
A: This cabinet is generally used for kitchens
in tight spaces. The blind corner is not the first choice for designers
and consumers. The knock on these units are they look too dark and
items stored inside are hard to get at.
If you are using the smaller blind units then this might be
the case but with the units using the 15” or 18” door there should not
be a problem.
Because the blind base units use a full height door the
accessibility is a lot easier than a blind base cabinet that has a
drawer on top of the unit. The white melamine finish lightens up the
inside of the cabinet allowing for better visibility.
Blind corner cabinets require three pieces, a UB or W cabinet,
(BBP) blind panel pack, and the door pack.
Determine how much space to allocate for the blind cabinet
then look in your product binder and choose the cabinet that will fit
into the measured space.
If you are looking for symmetry then add 2” to the minimum
pull. This will allow for 3” of the panel to be exposed. This will
match the 3” filler that is butting into the blind panel. NOTE:
Additional filler is required for this type of application. One filler
will be used as a sub filler and the other will be attached in the
front of the sub filler so that it is flush with the door.

Q: How long does it take to assemble a cabinet?
A: Wall cabinets take approximately 15 minutes
and base cabinets take approximately 20 minutes.
Q: What type of Warranty is on your cabinets?
A: 5 years on the cabinet doors and boxes
against manufacturer defects and a lifetime on drawer slides and door
hinges.
Q: I’d like to order or replace a discontinued door
style. What should I do?
A: Unfortunately once the door style has been
discontinued we can no longer provide cabinets in that color, however,
we do have a certain stock quantity on hand for warranty replacements.
Please call our customer service department to see if you qualify.
Q: How do I replace a broken or damaged hinge on my
cabinet?
A: Please contact the store where you bought
your cabinets and they will then place an order with us to have these
items either shipped to the store or directly to you. Our hinges have a
lifetime warranty so they should be n/c to you.
Q: Can you send me some product literature?
A: Yes, please fill out our literature order
page which is on our website at www.euro-rite.com and fax it to
1-888-333-7210. Attention: Order Entry. The literature is generally no

Q: How do I clean and care for my cabinets?
A: For details on how to properly clean and
care for Euro-Rite cabinet please visit our website under Support/Care
& Cleaning Tips.
Q: How do I know if I have framed or frameless
cabinets?
A: Framed cabinets have a front frame around
the cabinet opening to which the hinges and door are attached.
Frameless cabinets have no front frame. The hinges are attached and
hidden inside the cabinet giving a cleaner more European look.
Euro-Rite cabinets are frameless and have a cam and dowel construction.
Q: How would I reface my cabinets?
A: Euro-Rite does not offer a re-facing program
however, please contact your local custom cabinet shop and they will be
able to help you or redirect you.
