Job Description

Reporting to the Vice president of Operations, the Operations Manager will be responsible for all Operations including Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Inventory, Safety and Product Engineering for the Eurorite Cabinets division. This position will primarily focus on managing strategic initiatives for the Company, leading managers, and coordinators of the primary divisions towards the Company’s goals.

The Operations Manager is responsible for developing an overall culture of Continuous Improvement with a results-driven approach toward quality and efficiency, responsible for both Unionized and Exempt staff teams.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the VP of Operations to identify and develop strategic Operational initiatives, aligning all Operations teams towards these goals with clear communication and reporting;
    • Analyzing and identifying key areas for growth opportunities
    • Developing and communicating on key policies and procedures
  • Define and manage clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to report on Operational Performance at an executive level.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to understand target market requirements, ensuring Operations are prepared and aligned to perform/adapt appropriately.
  • Direct and develop the Production Manager and manufacturing teams to develop a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement culture in the shop.
  • Direct and develop the Supply Chain Manager and associated teams to develop a focus on accurate quoting, purchasing and inventory transactions for both raw and finished goods.
  • Develop and oversee Occupation Health & Safety Coordinator role to improve safety program, including training, on-boarding and communications towards the Company’s goals of Health, Safety and Well-Being.
  • Develop and oversee ‘Quality Control’ coordinator role, to drive improvement on overall quality with strong procedures, documentation, and training.
  • Develop and oversee ‘Master Scheduling’ coordinator role, including Sales Order allocation and inventory processing to improve schedule reliability for all Sales Divisions.
  • Ensure clear staff communications throughout Operations to improve alignment and clarity for teams, with established methods of two-way flow of information between Management and Employees.
  • Manage relationship with IBEW Union including CBA details, meetings, and staff issues/grievances.
  • Align Operations teams with HR to ensure clear hiring plans, development/review/discipline practices and fair/equitable management of staff across Operations.
  • Act a Senior Leader for all the Eurorite Cabinets divisions, working in collaboration with the different divisions and departments of the EBSU group.
  • All other related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the cabinet manufacturing industry.

The Installation Manager will be responsible for teams of subcontractor installers in the field and ensuring that the installation and servicing of the cabinets is done in accordance with company standards of quality and safety. Being an Installation Manager ensures that subcontractors are adhering to contract specifications and established policies and procedures.

The Installation Manager will be in charge of overseeing all install-related tasks, responsible for teams of subcontractor installers in the field and managing all installation aspects of projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage product installation in a coordination role from start to end on time and within budget.
  • Proactively communicate with all involved parties, keeping all informed about progress for production and installation
  • Receive job from Project Manager then comprehend, interpret and prepare the installation Information package for our subcontractor. Including any necessary preliminary sketches, specifications, and other data that may be required.
  • Review project plans and specifications with the Project Manager, estimator, and designer to confirm the complete scope.
  • Negotiate and award installation contracts with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate installation resources with production and shipping activities and scheduling department to ensure the install subcontractor is fully aware of the requirements and schedule of deliveries.
  • Write up work orders for service processing, changes orders, extras and other information related to the project, and liaise with project staff to ensure work is getting completed thoroughly and on time.
  • Review building plans or blueprints to determine questions or possible issues.
  • Work with projects team, General Contractor, or Subcontractors to resolve issues and keep project moving.
  • Schedule installation and inspection processes with required work crews or subcontractors.
  • Ensure supplies and materials are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Monitor progress of installation and adjust schedule to field conditions and construction schedule.
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards identifying potential issues and implementing corrective action plan to achieve safety and QA standards.
  • Supervise the work of installers and give them guidance when needed.
  • Monitor deficiency lists and coordinate installation for completion of items.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Data entry for forms, reports, logs and records.
  • Troubleshooting installation issues and be able to come up with creative solutions.
  • Train all onsite personnel to be familiar with the companies Q&A assurance guidelines and Health & Safety Program. Increase awareness and enforce these programs.
  • Set up all service appointments for homeowner occupied units.
  • Handle subcontractor invoices, including worker’s compensation and liability requirements.
  • Document on site activities and maintain accurate records for on site changes to scope of work, site revisions, client related chargeables, on site modifications.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have minimum of 3-5 years experience in multi-residential, architectural, commercial millwork or cabinet project experience and possess in-depth understanding of the equipment and, supplies, instruments, and tools, used in the cabinet installation process.
