This role will be working closely with our Operations Manager, Production Supervisors, shop Group Leaders, and Client Services team. Eurorite is a Union Shop.

Core Responsibilities:

60% Logistics Management:

  • Develop strong relationships with Carriers, building/refining a network of preferred carriers by lane through negotiation and strategic planning
  • Manage outbound orders/schedules to optimize shipments and warehouse activity (i.e. Combined shipments by lane, customer….)
  • Create systems to empower Logistics Coordinators to make quick decisions on carriers for shipments.
  • Develop strategies with top customers to improve logistics service, reduce costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Business Dev/Sales to find solutions to increase our geographical reach (eastern CAN).

40% Warehouse Operations:

  • Developing a team of up to 25 on two shifts with both union and exempt staff, building team capacity through strong communication and decision-making under pressure.
  •  Improve communication Increase team’s access to critical information – how/why are decisions made, what is upcoming on the schedule.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, finding ways to increase efficiency and accuracy of shipments.
  • Oversee physical inventory organization, strategically planning methods to increase order prep/pkg efficiency.
  • Oversee transactions and cycle-counting procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage up to 8 direct reports, with personal touchpoints to each member at least twice/year for coaching and development.
  • Create, enable and support team leaders in their day-to-day activities.
  • Reviewing and managing labour schedules to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Develop, measure, and regularly report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for assigned processes.
  • Help develop training programs to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient transportation and warehouse operations.
  • Analyze current routines and make strategic suggestions for improvement.
  • Involve key shop members in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Build a strong team culture.
  • Leading the team – by presence and example, working alongside and holding daily huddles, weekly meetings, and monthly development discussions.
  • Expedite orders through the shop, communicating with Client Services/Sales on exceptions.
  • Set, communicate, measure, and monitor benchmarks and SMART goals to improve KPIs.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Serve on inter-departmental cross-functional teams to evaluate operations and policies.
  • Assist with writing and updating department procedures. (SOPs)
  • Managing team member payroll hours, time-off requests, and other labour scheduling duties.

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Skills required for this position:

  • People First- we get it, you have to be tough in logistics to get what you need, but our ideal candidate will have a people-first management approach.
  • 3 Years of Experience in Warehouse Operations and Logistics/Supply Chain in a mid-sized organization.
  • Experience leading teams of up to 25 people.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting – kitchen cabinet experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills are required.
  • Strong Excel, MS Office, and email skills are required.

SOME KEY ACTIVITIES OF THIS JOB:

You will be responsible for reviewing inventory data, preparing and processing purchasing orders, and completing receiving administration. This role will respond to internal and supplier inquiries about purchase order status, changes or cancellations.

  • You will complete daily purchasing routine to create required purchases orders, reviewing and sending to vendors.
  • You will review vendor confirmations, compare to our PO results, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • You will process receiving transactions and paperwork, coordinating backorders and liaising with the Accounting dept.
  • You will monitor weekly inventory count activities and spreadsheets, creating purchase orders as required.
  • You will maintain organized paperwork for all purchase orders, confirmations, and receiving documentation.

Eurorite Cabinets is currently seeking experienced, quality oriented, and reliable Installers for our Showroom Sales division.  Our Installation Partners are known for their ability to meet or exceed our standards for quality, dependability, and deliver outstanding customer service. Work will be assigned on a sub-contracted basis.
